We also offer summer recreation programs, summer softball and the Forks Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration.
   
Health care facilities include the 53-bed Forks Community Hospital with its long-term care facility, physicians' clinic and more. Other facilities include the Bogachiel Clinic, Primary Care Medical Clinic, Family Medical Center and the Forks Chiropractic Clinic.
 
Local educational needs are served by Forks Elementary School, Queets-Clearwater Elementary School, the District Run Home School and Forks Alternative School. There's also Forks Middle School and Forks High School as well as numerous facilities for higher education.
 

In years past, employment was predominantly related to the wood products industry (logging, shake mills, trucking, road construction). Though this is still part of the economic base, public sector employment in the various public entities are a major employment factor (school district, hospital, tribal government in LaPush, state department of corrections, to name a few). The private sector employment is composed of many small owner-operated small businesses and several larger employers providing between 50 and 100 jobs.
